Seeking a technical co-founder, who can be a partner, leader and co-visionary for an eco tech startup in the fast-growing industry of sustainable homes. This amazing startup is one of its kind, marrying two major domestic and global industries: real estate and sustainable homes.

About the startup:
Realty Sage is an ecommerce home listings site catering to eco & sustainable home listings with the largest database of listings nationwide. This is the “Zillow of eco homes” with thousands of eco home listings already--solar, LEED, Energy Star, off-grid, tiny homes, geothermal, net zero, etc…

I am looking for someone who is ambitious, passionate, and technologically experienced to help bring this startup to the next level with me, continue to make it the groundbreaking startup that it is. Funding is highly likely as it is targeting two enormous markets--the eco/green and the real estate industries.

About the founder:
I am a hardworker and critical thinker with a sense of humor. I have over a decade of leadership, experience and education in real estate, marketing and sustainability expertise. I have a huge vision for this company! With a strong network of experienced and prominent advisers, mentors and connections, I am dedicated to ensuring that we have the best path for the future.

About the future tech co-founder:
In addition to the technical aspects, I need a tech visionary that knows how all of the applications, UI, code, data, and system components fit together and can grow, re-architect, and scale as necessary. As the company grows, you will be leading development teams building an online database, managing a large web application/internet service, and figuring out how to implement new technologies. Proficiency, vision and creativity with current web technologies and the ability to adapt and incorporate new technologies is a must.

1. Seeking Sustainability Web Content/SEO Blog Writer Intern for Eco Tech Start Up Company.

This is a great opportunity to learn about cutting edge sustainability, clean and smart technologies and how they apply to the next generation of homeowners, millennials, and the future of America’s homes, new homes and renovation. You will also explore the movement to incorporate energy efficiency and sustainability into our buildings and home products and how those affect our everyday lifestyle. Private industry momentum versus a potential decrease in federal incentives or mandates can also be explored as topics. The intern will work with Realty Sage team members to review topics, content and writing style.

Qualifications:

Seeking a candidate, locally or remotely, that is comfortable working with a content that is concise and factual, has a basic knowledge or is willing to learn about the features from the Realty Sage site i.e., eco home certifications, eco-friendly products, advanced green building techniques, smart technology, consumer and housing trends, sustainable materials and so on.

Responsibilities:

Write at least two blogs or web content pieces per month.

Each blog should be no longer than 750 words.

Ideally:

The candidate should be able to write using engaging tone, embedding links throughout, breaking up content with subheading and bulleted lists.

Commitment:

Approximately 5 hours per week.

2. Seeking a Sustainability Research Analyst Intern for Eco Tech Start Up Company.

This is a great opportunity for an intern to learn and gain experience on how to conduct specific research about the growing sustainability industry and how this research is applicable to companies to further their mission and goals.

Responsibilities:

The candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to read relevant web-based and print content from news sources, non-profit organizations, universities, scientific institutions, and government agencies and through their research, provide a summary of ways in which this information can be applied to and enhance the information in the Realty Sage's database of eco home fields and educational content and or provide suggestions for new elements to Realty Sage.

An example: News regarding a new kitchen appliance that is both smart (connected to the internet) and energy efficient. This appliance can be added to the Realty Sage site as an eco-field and as educational content.

The scope of the research will be:

- Current sustainability content on Realty Sage;

- New housing trends that incorporate advanced buildings techniques, energy efficiency, eco home products, and sustainability;

- Eco third party home certifications i.e., LEED, Energy Star;

- Mandates and incentives for energy efficiency and sustainability in homes i.e., state, federal or private industry;

- Clean technologies and renewables for homes i.e., systems and solar;

- Energy and water efficiency for homes;

The intern will work with the Founder, Kari Klaus, to learn how to prioritize the research based on its applicability to a growing company’s mission and goals and advancing the education of consumers to help them adopt these features and technologies.
